Karen McGoldrick

American author. Karen McGoldrick is an experienced dressage rider and trainer, who teaches dressage at her own farm in Georgia. She is also a regular columnist for the Georgia Dressage and Combined Training Association newsletter. Recently she decided to combine her writing talents and her wealth of dressage knowledge to write The Dressage Chronicles, a series set in the world of dressage training.

Dressage Chronicles Series:
I haven't read this series, not being a fan of dressage. However the multitude of excellent reviews suggest it is a very good read. Because the author rides and teaches dressage herself this has an extremely authentic depiction of the life of the working pupil and the world of dressage.

SUMMARY: Young adult/adult story set in the world of dressage. When her boyfriend gives her an ultimatum between him and her horse Lizzy chooses her Hanoverian mare Winsome. She leaves her boring job behind and sets off to become a working pupil with famous dressage rider Margot Fanning.
